Iodine IronMaxx
What is Iodine? Iodine is an essential brick in the human body for the building of thyroid hormones. Absorbed in the thyroid it is build-in there in the hormones T3 (Triiodothyronine) and T4 (Thyroxine). The iodine containing thyroid hormones are indispensable for the human body. They regulate the basal metabolic rate, the body temperature and all metabolism processes. Further they have an influence on the physical and mental development, the cell growth, the physical efficiency and finally the psyche, too. Without an adequate iodine supply, the thyroid does no longer its service.
High-risk group: Smokers! Male and female smokers are one of the most important high-risk groups for an inadequate iodine supply. Tobacco smoke contains struma-building substances like Cyanate, Isocyanate, Thyocyanate, Nitrates and polycyclic hydrocarbons, which save especially an effect when there is an inadequate supply of Iodine. The concentration of these substances in the smoker’s blood exceeds the concentration of Iodine for more than the decuple. The thyroid takes these substances in twice as good as Iodine itself and blocks therefore the accumulation of the trace element in the smoker's body what impedes the thyroid functions.
Is too much Iodine dangerous? In the course of the evolution, the thyroid took a very important mechanism of the autoregulation against a deluge. It effects that Iodine is egested with the urine when there is a surplus supply. Only infants have not developed the effect that well yet. That makes the infantile thyroid very sensitive as well for iodine surplus as for Iodine deficiency. Because the organ has only a small iodine content; in the case of newborn children there are stored 0,1 mg iodine. Because of the fast growth processes, the infantile’s Iodine- and thyroid hormones store is converted very fast, in the beginning almost the hole daily production of thyroid hormones. The thyroid is normally therefore protected against a surplus.
Your advantages of a healthy thyroid:
(Effects of the thyroid hormones)
- Optimal development of heat;
